One of the most stimulating experiences to engage in while in Tuscany is to participate in a local cooking class.
Simplicity is central to the Tuscan cuisine, delicious recipes rich in flavour with traceable roots back to the farmhouse kitchen. Many Tuscan dishes were invented on the principle of “waste not” and poor-man’s food based on fresh, seasonal ingredients. Eat healthily with locally sourced ingredients.
The Filettro farmhouse offers inspiring and informal cooking lessons to master the secrets of the preparation of our dishes.
The class will take place in my kitchen!
My kitchen is not that spacious so I can only teach small groups. The class includes the active preparation of starters, a first course and a dessert. Each participant will be given an apron and a recipe booklet.
The dishes you prepare during the class may also be enjoyed in your apartment with your loved ones or friends accompanied by a bottle of fine red or white wine.
It is also possible to order or purchase (if available) some of the locally sourced produce used during the cooking class i.e. wine, extra virgin olive oil, pasta, cheeses, truffe etc.
